Jason Smith is interested in the intersection of religion and literature in South Asia. As a comparativist, he is particularly interested in the role that literature plays in defining religious identity and the ways in which Hindu narratives are read and interpreted by other South Asian religious communities. He received a BA from St. Olaf College in 2009 and an MTS degree from Harvard Divinity School in 2013.
