Religions of Late Antiquity: Judaism and Christianity

Michael Motia studies theology in Late Antiquity with a special interest in traditions of mystical and negative theology. He focuses on the interplay of Continental Philosophy, critical theory, and theology as it pertains to notions of the self—particularly how selfhood functions and is constituted in hermeneutical, liturgical, and social practices of Christian community. He holds a MDiv from Harvard Divinity School and is on ordination track in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
