
Lorenny Diaz is a PhD student in New Testament and Early Christianity focusing on the representation of women (e.g., Mary mother of Jesus and Perpetua) in early Christian material culture and literature. She is also interested in exploring the reception of these women in religion and media from antiquity to the present. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Lorenny holds a Master of Theological Studies and a Certificate in Religion and Public Life in Arts and Popular Culture from Harvard Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Psychology from New York University.
