Madeline Levy

Madeline’s research interests revolve around the role of religion in nationalist narratives of history and identity, particularly in the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. She is also interested in the subsequent scholarly and public portrayal of religion in the Nazi period, representations of the Holocaust, twentieth century European social thought, and theories and methods of the study of religion. Madeline holds a BA in Religious Studies from Whitman College and an MTS from Harvard Divinity School.
