
Sam Bailey
PhD Candidate
Sam Bailey is a doctoral student in the Literature Studies and the Arts subfield. He studies devotional Christian poetics and is particularly interested in the connection between medieval prayer practices in the Christian Latin West and post-’45 literature. He is an Associate Editor at Peripheries and a Co-Editor-in-Chief of Mark: A Journal of Christian Poets. His own poetry can be found in the Yale Review, Missouri Review, Image, and elsewhere. Originally from Central Pennsylvania, Sam holds a BA in Religion and English from Oberlin College, and an MDiv from Harvard Divinity School.
