AnnMarie M. Bridges
AnnMarie M. Bridges is a PhD candidate in the Committee on the Study of Religion. She specializes in the history of Christian theological writing and studies how such texts form, or work upon, their readers. Her dissertation research explores the intertwined roles of perception and reading in John Calvin’s 1559 Institutes of the Christian Religion against the backdrop of early modern European visual culture. She received her bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Chicago before completing her Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School.
