Joanna is a PhD candidate studying Hebrew Bible. Her interests include early biblical interpretation, rewritten scripture, narrative approaches to the Bible, and the development of biblical texts. She is currently writing a dissertation on the use of narrative analogy in the biblical story of King David (1 Samuel 16 through 1 Kings 2). Her work is focused on parallels between David and Jacob, Judah, and Joseph. Joanna has a BA from Gordon College and an MDiv from Harvard Divinity School.
