Satoru Kimura

Satoru Kimura is a doctoral student in the North American Religions subfield. His research focuses on American liberal Christianity in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In particular, he is interested in the Protestant foreign missions, the social gospel movement, and the transnational network of interreligious dialogue/ cooperation in this era. Satoru received a BA from International Christian University in 2017 and a MA (Religious Studies) from the University of Tokyo in 2019. In 2015-16, he studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as an exchange student. He is a Fulbright grantee in 2020-2022.
