Religion as a Secondary Field
The Secondary Field is a wonderful opportunity for students in other concentrations to explore the academic Study of Religion during their time at Harvard. Students can focus on a particular tradition or pick from a wide range of courses in traditions, geographical areas, and multi-disciplinary approaches.
The 6-course requirement for the Secondary Field includes:
- Either Religion 97 (tutorial offered every Spring Term) OR 1 other comparative course. Comparative courses vary from year to year, so please consult the most recent list of courses.
- Five additional courses from our range of curricular options as approved by Director of Undergraduate Studies, Courtney Bickel Lamberth, who serves as the Secondary Field Adviser in the program. Please contact her at lamberth@fas.harvard.eduwith any questions!
